Sureality
Joel Peter Witkin
I looked up every artist on the list and i couldnt really find any that i liked. What I didn't like about them was that they are provocative and uncomfortable. Joel petter witkin caught my attention untill i did more research on him and watched a series on him called "vile bodies" first of all, i lost my appetite and second in time i started likeing what he was saying his explanitons and descriptions totaly changed my mind.
I also like Francesca Woodman angel series but again in a differnet way its all very depressing, which proablly was the mood of the photos because she ended up killin her self.
So I am leaning towards Man Ray or Salvador Dali. I like how Man Ray sees things and shapes as objects like in these two images
and i like the colors in salvador dali and the idea in the photo below, a blooming rose in a desert above everything, and allot of his dessert pieces are interesting i like the idea of things being out of place

PHOTOS
Before & After
I hose this image because i like the silhouette of the angel wings.
I adjusted the curves because the light in the background needed to be enhanced and the plant in front of the angle was distracting from the effect i wanted to achieve.
Berfore & After
I chose this photo because the colors of the owl was supported by the houses in the background. I adjust the levels to make add a richness to the photo and cropped it so the owl lies within a point of thirds both vertically and horizontally.
Before & After
I took about twenty photos of this gate and stairway and the only ones that were framed properly were way to light. After trying to manipulate pictures that were missing a little here or there i decided I would try to work with one of the overly lit pictures. Messing around with the levels I got a couple really neat results but i was most happy with this one.

Cover Meme
After I got my photo, album title and band name I got started in PhotoShop. I created several layers of my image with different filters and layered them on top of one another. As for the texture image we had to use to create a more interesting visual i used the color burn under blending options. Next I found a text that would encompass "electricity" and contrast with the background. I then used another blending effect to bring some of the background in and black out the h in "the" to further the connection in text and title. Since my band name was short and i wanted something original i just used the Wacom tablet to paint the text.
